GED Waiver

I recently went to meps and took the NAPT and got a 59. I got a 94 on the Asvab and was told by my recruiter and the meps nukes that I should go nuke. They had me pick a backup rate and I chose air traffic controller. I have to get a waiver for nuke and it's been around a month and a half and they keep telling me it'll be another month because someone's taking a vacation, etc. Do they give out a lot of nuke waivers for Geds or are they just saying that I'll get the waiver so I'll stay in or something?
