The fire station is not a nuclear facility but there are many aging buildings on site of that are described as building a Ferrari in a model-T factory of the same age. For Navy Nukes Y-12 provides highly the enriched uranium (feedstock) used in the fabrication of fuel for reactors in the Navy’s nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines.
