I did a search for a more reliable source but none so far. If I find one, pro or con I will post it.

On a side note, I remember not using the term "Hot" when describing contamination levels with craft. It was easily misinterpreted as a dangerous level of contamination. High levels of radiation seem like a hook for readers. The website looks like a marketing ploy for detectors to me. I have done a couple of base line surveys with microR meters and at one site the guard shack had the highest background due to the red brick it was made with. Random data entries from John Q Public again seems more like marketing.

Give me a Model 3 with a 44-3 and I'll find 1KCPM all day long in NYC.  But not at drone levels, 300-400'.
Did a job in Philly and was doing drive around surveys on a dreary day. Found 16KCPM  while traveling through a railroad overpass. But, I failed to convince the EPA to shut down the train traffic to rebuild the overpass.
Fun times.

Yea, though I walk through the boundaries of containment, I shall fear no dose, for my meters are with me.  My counters, air sample filters, and smears, they comfort me.

All the drone discussion regarding WPAFB in SW Ohio turned out to be fake news.  Third-hand people reporting.  Base personnel said it was all crap.  Sure got a lot of news coverage and buzz.  That's what someone wanted....
