Another Midwestern utility has shelved plans for an extended power uprate, this time at the Cooper nuclear plant between Omaha, Neb., and Kansas City, Mo.

I love watching a utility blame the competition! Cooper is an Entergy managed plant and they are still reeling from cost overruns from Grand gulf's uprate! I don't blame them for being scared!

They may be managed by Entergy but all funds authorization and budgets are decided by the NPPD Board of Directors in Columbus, NE.
