Nupoc future

Im going to college next year for mechanical or civil engineering I really want to get into the nupoc program for the navy and im wondering what competitive requirements would be , im physically fine but im just thinking about what I would need academically to be accepted,  also if I retired after nupoc to get a job as a nuclear engineer would I need a masters in nuclear engineering or would my service in the nuclear engineer field be enough to land me a good job
