I started out in the industry in 1974 with Hittman Nuclear & Development Corporation (part of Hittman Associates) and we had a sister subsidiary called Hittman Nuclear Battery Corporation... and they made PU-238 batteries and experimented with Americium batteries, too. I was fascinated by the concept at the time and still find it really cool. Glad to see they are restarting this. It is a very good way to make the small amounts of energy required to keep a spacecraft moving.
