I was wondering why they kept calling me for jobs.

The title mislead me. I thought it would be "Addicted to the shear beauty of Los Alamos and northern New Mexico.  Instead, it's a anti-nuclear piece slamming DOE contractors. The present team is really the first team to run the site. UC ran it pretty freely for 60 years.  I would expect a new administration to have some hiccups trying to change the culture.  It's probably a tough site to run since you went from heavy R&D to picking up a big chunk of the production side when they downsized the complex. It's not like Oak Ridge where you have different teams running the Lab and Y-12.

Yeah it was anti, but not so sure it was anti-nuclear as much as it was anti-waste. It looks like Los Alamos will get most of the funding. It's not like you can order one of the "pit's" from Amazon when you need one ;) and they are perishable.
