New York's Clean Air Plan Key to FitzPatrick's Future

The New York Department of Public Service has affirmed the value of nuclear energy with a proposed plan for compensating the emission-free quality of nuclear energy facilities through a clean energy standard. Consequently, the FitzPatrick, R.E. Ginna and Nine Mile Point nuclear plants could receive compensation from the state for providing clean energy to help New York meet carbon emission reduction goals.
