How to Criticise with Kindness

Criticism online can easily perpetuate, until someone gets 'shut down'.

The best analogy to me for many of our Nukeworker posters is still "Motor Mania" just substitute Computer Mania8)

You are paid to take it. Just be matter of fact and move on. No need for kindness.

I think that is what Weinstein told the young starlets.  ::) Abuse whether sexual or bullying is not expected nor is it professional, but then I don't expect you to get that.

Last I knew Weinstein doesnt have an SRO License. Not a very intelligent comparison.

It's an excellent comparison for those capable of seeing it. Just because you think an abusive action is acceptable does not make it so.

At the places I've worked, criticism delivered in the way this thread refers to - that is to say, in a harassing or unnecessarily aggressive manner - is in violation of company HR policies, and at those workplaces it's considered a duty to report harassment and toxic workplace behaviors if possible. So, you might say that you are actually paid not to put up with it.

You forget... he's an EGO... uh, I mean SRO. Nevermind, same thing.

* Disclaimer: I do not really  think all SROs are egomaniacal morons. But a few vocal ones seem to be.

While there are instances where that may be the most "effective" way, it's generally frowned on at work.
