Nusano is constructing a linear accelerator facility in Salt Lake City to increase the domestic supply of medical radioisotopes. The company utilizes a multi-beam distribution platform to produce 25 different isotopes, aiming to address supply shortages that currently limit cancer research and clinical treatment options. The location provides logistical advantages for the rapid distribution of materials with short half-lives.

Nuclear medicine supports some of the most advanced cancer treatments in the world. The radioisotopes that power it, however, are difficult to produce and often in short supply. One Utah company is working to change that.
