TerraPower has awarded 12 vendor contracts to support the construction of the Natrium reactor at the Kemmerer Unit 1 site in Wyoming. These agreements cover the design and manufacturing of specialized components, including control rod drives, heat exchangers, and monitoring systems. The contracts aim to establish a supply chain for the first utility-scale advanced reactor project currently under construction in the Western Hemisphere.

BELLEVUE, WA – August 31, 2026 – TerraPower, a nuclear innovation company, today announced the selection of 12 supplier awards as it continues to build out the supply chain needed to support its first Natrium plant, Kemmerer Unit 1, and secure American energy dominance for generations. Kemmerer Unit 1 is currently under construction in Wyoming and is the first utility-scale advanced reactor project under construction in the Western Hemisphere.
