Salem

Salem Generating Station in Lower Alloways Creek Township, New Jersey, is a two-unit plant about 18 miles south of Wilmington, Delaware. Constellation owns 43 percent of Salem (995 MW), producing enough emissions-free electricity to power the equivalent of more than 700,000 homes. Salem also includes one oil-fueled peaking unit, which is run during periods of high demand. PSEG owns 57 percent of Salem. The Salem nuclear power plant is located on a 700-acre site near Salem, New Jersey. The plant shares a three mile long island with the Hope Creek nuclear station.
