Volgodonsk is the town beside the Rostov nuclear power plant, in Rostov Oblast, Russia. The plant is on the left bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir on the lower Don River. It has four VVER-1000/320 pressurized water reactors.

Unit 1 was connected to the grid on March 30, 2001, and entered commercial operation on December 25, 2001. Construction of Unit 2 began on May 1, 1983, and it was connected to the grid on March 18, 2010. Unit 3 began construction on September 15, 2009, and reached the grid on December 27, 2014. Unit 4 began construction on June 16, 2010, and was connected to the grid on February 2, 2018.
