The fusion stuff is getting tedious and old. Nobody currently posting on this site will ever see anything of any substance related to fusion other than grant money for the egg heads and luggage bandits. Same focus on when swine will fly and humans will live on Mars will yield essentially same results.

   It's news and people much smarter than us are investing a lot of time and money in it. "If people were meant to fly they would have wings". I prefer to say maybe. I can't say it's pure research, it is not, but offshoot benefits from it are similar. You are right many on this site may never see it happen but maybe you children will. I heard the same thing about SMRs earlier when I posted about them with the same feedback you are giving me, but it is clear that they will be built in the near future.
   Thanks for feedback it is always welcome. Diversity of thought and discussion are a good thing.

You have a point there, but billionaires did not get that way being idiots. PHDs yeah, met some brilliant ones and some post turtles.  8)
