Lightbridge Corporation and Quadrant Nuclear Industries have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore long-term supply arrangements for high-assay low-enriched uranium. The agreement establishes a framework for potential offtake from the planned Vanguard production facility at Idaho National Laboratory, which aims to produce eighteen metric tons of fuel annually.

This collaboration addresses the industry-wide challenge of securing a domestic HALEU supply chain for advanced reactor technologies. By aligning fuel production with proprietary fuel development, the companies seek to mitigate supply risks and support the commercialization of next-generation nuclear energy. The agreement remains non-binding as both firms continue their respective development and regulatory milestones.
