The Department of Energy awarded 1st American Nuclear Co. two research projects through the Nuclear Science User Facilities Rapid Turnaround Experiment program. These awards grant the company access to irradiation testing and post-irradiation examination at Oak Ridge and Pacific Northwest national laboratories. The data will support materials research for the EAGL-1 small modular reactor, a 240-megawatt lead-bismuth-cooled fast reactor currently under development.
