Uranium hexafluoride condensed as a white solid inside a coiled transparent line at Raven-Flint's Idaho Falls laboratory.

Raven-Flint will construct the Torch pilot conversion facility at Idaho National Laboratory to produce 500 tonnes of uranium hexafluoride annually. The company successfully demonstrated a proprietary conversion process that eliminates the use of elemental fluorine. This project aims to expand domestic conversion capacity, which currently relies on a single facility built in 1958. The NRC has also docketed the company's license application for engineering-scale uranium research.

QuoteRaven-Flint is selected for the DOE Nuclear Energy Launch Pad at Idaho National Laboratory and confirms production of uranium hexafluoride without elemental fluorine. Torch, its pilot conversion plant on the INL site, is designed for 500 tU/yr.

Company also confirms production of uranium hexafluoride using its proprietary process, free from elemental fluorine, and reports NRC docketing of its license application for engineering-scale uranium R&D.

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — August 31, 2026 — Raven-Flint Nuclear Corporation, a privately held nuclear technology company building a safer, more reliable, and more economic uranium conversion process for the United States, today announced three milestones in its effort to rebuild domestic uranium conversion capacity: selection for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Nuclear Energy Launch Pad at Idaho National Laboratory (INL); successful production of...
