The Idaho National Laboratory Foundation and MicroNuclear, LLC, formed an agreement to advance the Molten Salt Nuclear Battery project. The partnership includes several engineering firms working toward prototype fabrication, regulatory licensing, and testing at a national laboratory. This collaboration aims to move the 20-megawatt thermal microreactor closer to commercial deployment for remote grids and critical infrastructure.
