World's first isotope refinery project can transform fusion innovation

StandardX secured ten million pounds in seed funding to construct the world's first commercial isotope refinery in London. The facility will utilize a proprietary accelerator system to mass-produce scarce isotopes required for targeted cancer therapies and fusion energy fuel, such as tritium. Initial medical isotope supplies are scheduled for delivery to research partners by 2027.

QuoteStandardX is building the world's first isotope refinery, which can unlock the scalable supply of the rarest materials on Earth to enable the next era of medicine and fusion energy.

A London-based company is building the world's first isotope refinery, which can enable the next era of medicine and fusion energy. For this, StandardX has raised £10m seed funding. The step is expected to radically increase production of the rare isotopes that will enable the next century of innovation in medicine and energy."Isotopes underpin the next era of innovation across several key sectors, but all share the same constraints around supply," said Richard Pearson, StandardX CEO."Shortages...
