Eden Radioisotopes selected Kiewit Nuclear Solutions and Sargent & Lundy to engineer and construct its planned medical isotope production facility in Lea County, New Mexico. The project received state financial backing following a construction permit application filed with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in May. Company officials anticipate commercial operations will begin in 2030 to supply diagnostic and cancer treatment isotopes.

State support, selection of Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Co. and continued partnership with Sargent & Lundy mark major steps toward development of first-of-its-kind U.S. medical isotope production facility

Economic Development New Mexico announced that the state will support Eden's planned investment of up to $1.4 billion through the Job Training Incentive Program, high-wage and rural job tax credits, and LEDA GRT Share. The project is expected to create 205 jobs statewide and generate more than $1.5 billion in economic impact over 10 years.
