Holtec International successfully recovered a tilted fuel assembly at the Palisades nuclear plant using a custom-engineered Fuel Movement Device. The company designed and manufactured the equipment in two weeks following NRC approval of a license amendment request. This recovery allows the facility to continue preparations for its planned return to service.

In a remarkable demonstration of technical ingenuity and precision manufacturing, Holtec has successfully recovered the tilted fuel assembly at its Palisades Nuclear Power Plant using a purpose-built Fuel Movement Device conceived, engineered, manufactured, and delivered by the company in just two weeks.
