I am saddened to say that my office was just informed that Joel Wootton has recently passed.  I, personnally, hadn't had much dealings with Joel, but having kept an eye on this thread, and not seeing anything mentioned about him, wanted to make sure he was remembered as we all should be once our time comes.

 Joel worked with us at BNL and was a trip to say the least...."I'm your radiation protection technician, and here to protect you from the ionizing effects of radiation and blah blah blah".....He was one hell of a smart dude.....His sense of humor, overalls, and that big old iron truck from "Mad Max" will be missed.
