Peach Bottom

Peach Bottom Clean Energy Center's two nuclear reactors in Delta, Pennsylvania can generate 2,770 megawatts (MW) of clean, emissions-free electricity. Constellation owns 50 percent of Peach Bottom, producing enough energy to power the equivalent of nearly 2 million homes. PSEG owns the other 50 percent of Peach Bottom. Constellation operates the plant. The history of Peach Bottom is a long one. Philadelphia Electric became one of the pioneers in the commercial nuclear industry when it ordered Peach Bottom 1 in 1958. The Nation's first nuclear power plant had gone on line a year earlier. Unit 1 operated from 1966 to 1974. The other two units are still in operation on the 620-acre site.
