Breaker-to-Breaker Runs
1 run
?
Breaker-to-breaker runs measure continuous operation between refueling outages using a cycle-adjusted threshold (90% of cycle length minus RFO duration). An active streak means the unit has been running continuously since the last refueling with no trips to 0% power.
River Bend 1 has logged 1 breaker-to-breaker run, continuous stretches from one refueling to the next with no trip to zero power. Its longest ran 674 days, and its runs average 674 days.

River Bend Station is in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, near St. Francisville and about 30 miles north of Baton Rouge. It draws its cooling water from the Mississippi River.

The plant has one General Electric BWR-6 boiling water reactor with a Mark III containment. The reactor was first connected to the grid in December 1985 and entered commercial operation on June 16, 1986. A second unit was planned, but those plans were officially abandoned in 1984 after only the containment base mat and some underground piping had been installed. In 2008 the owner applied to the NRC for a combined license for a proposed third unit of the ESBWR design, and work on it was postponed indefinitely in January 2009.
