Are you going to The Ford Reactor @ U of Mich?

Try callinf Butch Smith, or JR GRey.

For motels, there isn't anything cheep, but the guys on site should be able to steer you in the right direction for places to stay.

Hey T. Vol,

Try this website........//http://www.petfriendly.com/

Use the pull down menu to select the state you need. If the listings aren't for the area you are looking for then look below the listings and you will see.... 'Can't find what you're looking for? Search our Free Listings .

There were plenty of listings in Ann Arbor, just hover the mouse over the words pet policy and it will tell you the pet policy for that particular facility.

It gives the address, but I would still obtain the Phone number and verify the correctness of the website info.

Hope this helps.

BTW, it's in Region III.

Moderators, this thread should be moved to Region 3 Local Info, and Renamed "University of Michigan"

I'm not familiar with the exact area, but since Ann Arbor is a college town, there should be lots to do.  It's not far from Metro Airport, either.  Heading east on 94 will put you in Detroit which really isn't bad in the Downtown area.  Couple of casinos that are decent if you like big, flashy casinos.  If you have time, you should checkout Greektown (not just the casino, but the whole area and restaraunts.)  I also have fond memories of the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum... but that may be more of a kids' thing.  And of course, there's always Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum.

I've also heard there's a Mongolian Barbeque in AA that's great.  Not sure of the name, but it may be BD's.  You can look for more restaurants (and entertainment, etc.) at arborweb.com.

You can also check out mlive.com, which has both travel and entertainment sections, plus links to some local news for other interesting things to do.
It is a well-known fact that although the public is fine
when taken individually, when it forms itself into large
groups, it tends to act as though it has one partially
consumed Pez tablet for a brain.

I lived in Ann Arbor for 4 years from '83 to '87 working for a consulting company. When I was there you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting a good restaurant downtown. If you can't find anything you want to do there you just are not looking (and you don't have to look hard.) Aside from the weather about 9 months out of the year, I absolutely loved it there. Good luck and have fun.
