July Energycast; Project saves $175 million, Small Business Awards; and more

Contractor Isotek saved $175 million by accelerating the removal of uranium-233 inventory at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Meanwhile, UCOR reported that 84 percent of its $1 billion in subcontracts since 2022 went to small businesses. Cleanup crews are also currently deactivating Building 3029, a legacy radioisotope production facility, to reduce site risks and prepare for future research missions.
