Commonwealth Fusion Systems secured an additional 1 billion dollars in equity financing to support the development of its SPARC prototype and ARC power plant. The company has raised 4 billion dollars to date as it works toward grid-connected fusion power in the early 2030s. These funds will accelerate the assembly of the high-field magnetic device currently under construction in Massachusetts.
