The University of Maryland just issued a press release that on May 4th and 5th of this year they will be holding a conference on cybersecurity specifically for the nuclear power sector (see http://www.advancedengineering.umd.edu/ncsc/). The university recently launched a new cyber center and is establishing an interdisciplinary cyber curriculum that weaves into existing engineering programs - including its nuclear engineering program.

The NRC, NEI, DHS, NIST, NSA and private sector experts will be presenting and taking part. This is a chance to see how the NRC views cyber security in a small, intimate setting alongside the folks who developed RG 5.71. At the same time, get to meet with thought leaders in cyber from both government and the private sector.

Regards,

George
