We've launched a new board, Outage News: a running record of refueling and forced outages across the entire U.S. nuclear fleet.

The community has always been good at sharing what's happening on the ground. Outage News sits alongside that as a consistent reference for the whole fleet.

What gets posted:
  • Refueling outages: a post when a unit enters a refueling outage, and a reply when it returns to service.
  • Forced outages: a post when a unit trips offline unexpectedly, with a follow-up when it comes back.
  • Every post compares the event to the unit's published schedule and to NukeWorker's predictive model, and adds fleet context, plant background, and (when an outage ends) an estimate of the generation lost.

How to use it:
  • Updated daily. Headlines carry the key numbers at a glance: outage duration, days ahead of or behind schedule, and breaker-to-breaker (B2B) run milestones.
  • Look for the exclamation icon on forced and unscheduled events, and the lamp icon on refueling outages.

The board is meant as a factual anchor. If you have boots-on-the-ground detail on a specific event, jump into the thread or start a companion discussion in the main Nuclear News board.
