QuoteQuad Shities is one plant that really sux and the house people can't stand us.

I thought QC had gotten a little bit better but I guess they're still the same sorry bunch of chicken farmers they were 10 years ago.  I walked unknowingly into that plant on the night shift, reported to the house supervision and was greeted with, "The scabs are here".  Just a few short days later I told the house super to call security 'cause I was sure as hell going up one of his techs' ass.  Somehow I made it through that outage without being canned or having charges pressed against me.
Out of the business now but enjoy seeing some of the old names and memories.

I agree with bhatton! :-[ I find it hard to believe that Brunswick is even on the list! :o But it also got 4 votes so far! The only other plant on the list that I've been to is Robinson, so I can hardly fairly express my opinion here. Some noteable exceptions to the list might be:Perry, TMI, STP. I'm sure everyone has their own dislikes, and all for many different reasons. To be fair, and objective all of the plants need to be listed. Maybe Mike can do it. You know all of nuclear power seem to be very interested in "benchmarking" Lets see how your plant rates! ;)

As a former ComEd employee, I assure you that you'll receive the same fine treatment at any of the Exelon sites.

It's sort of like "Southern Hospitality", only it's more appropriately called "Northern Hostility".

I swear I had a red laser dot shining on my forehead the whole time I worked there.

It was a real motivator for me.

ChampCar99

Just a reminder ComEd(y) is now (Un)Exelon and also includes Clinton in Illinois
Peach Bottom in Pa
Limerick in Pa
TMI in Pa
Oyster Creek in NJ.

I thought I would switch out robinson for beaver valley. There wasn't much action on robinson.I guess robinson didn't suck that much?
Seems ip2 and communist edison are running strong.

Cooper Station--hmmmm---I really liked my stay at Cooper. I liked the house techs (many I haven't seen since Ark.). The area was great (you have to be a country boy though). I will definately go back IF I am allowed to. Excellent food and the cost of living is VERY reasonable.

Of course, IP2. They are in the 80's, 1880's. They care nothing for safety or procedures. They even tried to cover up an OSHA injury. One supervisor, Bob, is so totally incompetant that he is going to be let go. Good ridance.

In 1988 I was  out at in caly , at Nuclear paridise!  it was great!but I was in the site cords office and he was on the phone to the home office PSESI,  and Frank was shouting over the phone I would not take that tech if he was the last tech in the world! hold on Send him to Dresden thats a good place for him. after being there in 92 as a tech I seen why.
doing gennys  with Numanco I thought Briadwood was great.
I worked dresden a few years ago with GE its not so bad now but I am out of the HERD. ;D

I once heard a guy... and he was a house mouse... say if he was on the express elevator to hell and the only stop was at Robinson he would tell em to keep going!  (ev)

The_Core

Which Bob? There are about 10 of them.

:o What happened to CR3?  lol Well the staff became pathological after they were on the watch list.  They believed what management told them, and people that knew and worked and had fun together for 20 years became isolated and fearful or each other.  Its sad to say, but its true.  Most of those people are "home-grown" so they have a fear of not being able to do anything else or having to change their lives.  Lots of good people there, but too bad they became the victim of corporate manipulation-so that their VPs could retire at $1000/day. (That alone is immoral!)

Plants I hate most are the ones that have me barred. At the top of that list are the ones that have escorted me out by gun point. (TMI -twice!). You bastards!

LoneWolf

Never thought I would see the day when PSL would make this list. PSL used to be such a nice place to work. My guess is Seabrook is next.

I hear ********* says Mcguire really sucks.

Indian Point plants by far.  I like most of the house techs, but management has no *****.

Jr8black3

Plants and the people you have to work for are what you make of it, if you have a poor attitude or work ethic then more then likely, you won't like the plant or the people you have to work for.

But if I had to name a plant it would have to be Perry, but I did what was right for me instead of sitting there and hating it, I quit.

darkmatter

I voted all of Comed. The reasons if listed would probably get me blacklisted, which might not be a bad thing after all.

Darkmatters website is no more, nada, gonzo,
http://darkmatter.nukeworker.net.istemp.com  this will get you there, but I can't update it anymore. Maybe nukeworker will host personal sites eventully

Since i just returned from doing a sgrp/head change at ANO i would have to say this is byfar the WORST !!!!!!!!!! plant i have ever been at !! please if i ever decide to return someone stop me please !

ageoldtech

Haven't worked ANO myself, but I have noticed something. Every plant that SGT has, or has had a contract at, seems to S__K. Well, at least until they leave.

Kind of funny... in late 2001 I was heading out on the road after several years of decommissioning, and so had to take whatever Bartlett had open...which was Crystal River and Monticello.

I had always wanted to work Monticello, as I heard it was a friendly, easy-going place. I had avoided Crystal for years. I heard some things about the plant and the area that made me sure I didn't ever want to be there.

As it turned out, Crystal River was one of the best places I'd ever worked. Friendly people who acted professionally and treated you the same. Monticello, however was the outage from hell. I've never been treated worse.
...Just shows ta go ya...you never really know a place until you've actually been there.
Life is short. That is all there is to say. Get what you can from the present - thoughtfully, justly.

Monticello is an NMC plant now. Things are different. As long as NMC is there - don't expect it to be like the good old days. You could say that about any NMC plant now. :'(

LaFeet

Having not yet visited any on the list I am a loss to say which one I hate.  I do know that I will most likely NEVER go to any plant in Illinois,,, no matter how much money they promise me. :D
