The best thing about this site was the training.  The would take someone off the street and run them through NAVSHIPS Articles 107 & 108 if that is what it took to get contract HPs on the site.  The bad thing about this place was the pace.  Work speed was inverse of any place I had ever been  before.  I realize that alot of the attitude was due to the fact that this is a research facility, but still!  My metabolism dropped a couple of hundred points during my stay.

Bettis is where I got started in the biz.  It was slow paced back then too.

BWXT has the D&D contract

does bwxt have a total wrap on all the contracts associated with the d&d on that site?  are there any other contractors there still?

When you say Bettis, you are refering to several sites.
At Bettis Pittsburgh, they have all the sub contract work.
At Bettis Idaho (NRF), they have the D&D but not the maintenance contract.
I'm not sure about the other Bettis sites

bettis (picksburgh) had an ongoing on-site d&d excercise that has been ongoing for over 20 years.  if it is still ongoing there, that is.  bwxt, which is the current name of b&w (i have been led to believe) was a major player on that site the last time i checked.
