McGuire Nuclear Station

On Oct. 4, 1974, the first of four unit 1 steam generators was delivered to McGuire and additional generators followed. Each steam generator weights 376 tons and is nearly 68 feet in length. The steam generators are U-shaped heat exchangers – each steam generator contains approximately 45 miles of tubing.
