The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has cited FirstEnergy Corp. for providing false information about paint inside the reactor building at its Davis-Besse nuclear plant six years ago. The federal agency determined Davis-Besse officials incorrectly reported in 1998 that the paint was safe and unlikely to come off in the event of an accident.
